I have been tremendously frustrated lately with the way things are going. Despite moving to a new hosting setup, the site is still struggling to deal with traffic. There were, and still may be, several new problems that popped up when we went from one database server to two. Data must be replicated from one to the next, and so some new functionality had to be created.
The large problem is that I'm not getting the help I desperately need. I have Sean (Adura) in Canada who has been acting as my systems admin, but it has not been enough. He has no experience with a multi-server setup and is learning as he goes. I was under the impression my new host would be able to put more time into helping with site optimizations, but that does not seem to be the case.
If I were very familiar with these things, I would do this on my own. Unfortunately, I am not a backend programmer/systems admin. I have a decent understanding of things. Several times I've known more about these things than the people I'm trying to hire, which is very disappointing. I do not want to spend the massive amount of time that would be necessary to learn these things when I could be spending that time creating things in the game. It is absurd to me that I can't just find someone willing to accept my money who is capable of fixing this crap.
I do not want to lose massive amounts of daily users just because the site will not function properly.
I'm writing this post just to let everyone know that I'm trying my best to fix these things, and it's seriously stressing me out. Every day I sign into facebook or gmail and see complaint after complaint. It sucks.
I would love more than anything to work on a new character, but I cannot do so while the game is broken. My time has been spent ineffectively reaching out to people for help. I guess I have to keep doing this until I find someone, or get to learning and fixing everything by myself.

I hate it when I log in and try to make a level and it says you're not currently logged in. I know that you don't have the time to fix this but maybe after you've fixed Happy Wheels and made anew character you maybe have time to fix this problem. - ClassicWheels

My dad could fix it perfectly in about a week for a decent pay. i mean like £50. give him that and it'll be fixed AND there'll be a new few charecters. PS i would love to record a little 11/10 yr old screaming her head off. im good at it.

People use to sent mail when they have problems. You should know that most of us really appreciate your hard work and enjoy this, a bit of f5 is not that bad. This game you give us for free, so awesome, and you try to improve it non stop. Relax dude, probably you wont. There is too many bitches in every site. If you relaxed a bit most of us would be pleased aswell. WE LOVE YOU AND YOUR TEAM. Keep up the good work, fell our apreciation, and relax a bit ;) Sorry for bad english

But the site seems to be running WORSE, even though there is a new host, multiple servers, and the cruddy PM system is gone. The site wont even load on TUESDAY MORNING. so whatever, just thanks for your work on the game and all that.

Jim, don´t let the things get too stressy. yeah, the massive traffic problem is a bit irretating, but the poeple are served with the trigger tool for a while. there are so many cool new things you can figure out. i believe that the problems will be solved in the near future. take care of yourself.

JIM DOn't make a new character right now worry about tring to fix the site I know you are doing this but don't worry about anything right take one step at a time the main problem here for me is I can't upload levels and or I get this I hate it when I log in and try to make a level and it says you\\'re not currently logged in. I know that you don\\'t have the time to fix this but maybe after you\\'ve fixed Happy Wheels you might have time to fix this problem. Please Jim if needed I can get my cousin a computer programmer to help lead you through everything without taking weeks I know b/c he helped me learn how to script and set up my computer... Jim, This is simply a minor setback on something that's going to be BIG. Sure things aren't moving as fast as you'd like, but i'm sure that once you get things rolling again, you'll have even more people playing than you could imagine. Don't even worry yourself. things take time and this is one of my all time favorite games. even if i have to press the play button & bazillion times, i'll keep pressing. [b]Thanks for the post[/b] I have been logging on every day (with varying amount of frustration) hoping that the game would be magically repaired and I could go back to one starring stupid games. It must be terrible trying to fix this and I hope that it is repaired soon.

Bah I havent complained about this game since I started playing it a year ago. Just keep up the good work. the site is already too much of a success. XD

jim don't stress yourself out, just take things slow. we can keep clicking the "alright" button until the level loads, have a couple problems with saving levels but just relax, we all (apart from the retarded selfish wankers) appreciate you and your teams work. take as much time as you need to fix the problems. It's 100% possible that atleast a few of us on this site understand pressure. me being 1 of them :P i'll be in year 10 when i go back to school and it's just gonna be a hell of alot harder :( but that's probably nothin' compared to adults stress. you have our full support. keep up the amazing work :)

Have You tried a VPS (virtual private server) that way you dont need to freak out as much if the server goes down as you could yell at them instead. By the way I don't know much about servers but it might be worth looking into it Keep It Up!
